Pretty soon I’ll be able to spend more time on the ‘net’  simply ‘cuz Prez. Obama is going to give us all better and free health care.  Whoops did I get that wrong?  About $2 trillion wrong I guess.  In the meantime here is some stuff to stay ‘right’ up on.

Billy Mays — Probably the most viewed person on TV.  And now he is dead.  Heck, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and now Billy?  Hey BHO we need that free all-inclusive health plan yesterday!

Bernie Madoff – The guy only gets 150 years in prison!  What the heck?  His kids, grandkids and greatgrandkids won’t  be able to spend a fraction of the $$ he stole in that time. Give him 50 more, judge!

USA vs Brazil — At least we won the first half.  Trounced ‘em in fact — it was two / zip at the turn.  How did they score a hat-trick in the second?  ‘Cuz they played better dudes.  Like a lot better.  I saw the last two goals in real-time (thanks ESPN) and we didn’t have a chance!  Just to set the record straight — I haven’t watched a full ‘futbal’ or soccer game in my life . . . and I lettered in soccer in HS.  Snore!!

Kenny Perry — Look out Tiger, a 48 year-old guy is now #1 in the FedEx cup standings.  Maybe time to spend more time on the practice green and less time watching you buddy, Roger Federer, win tennis matches.  Maybe not since Kenny is only a deca-millionaire, and Tiger is . . .  well . . . richer that Midas ( Oprah).

Summer began in earnest just a few days ago.  I already miss spring.  What to do when it is sooo hot outside?  Spend some time on surchur and keep up with the ‘keepin’ up on the worldwide web.’  Here are a few assignments to test your abilities.  I expect a report on at least one topic by Friday!

Sarah Jessica Parker — Are you really a mom if you just pay someone else to have your babies?  Heck, my wife says that the process of pregnancy and birth are important to the mother-child bonding (maybe that’s why the kids like her better!).  Guess celebrities are too busy for real life.  When was the last time SJP shopped at Walmart?  Yeah, I thought so.

Jon and Kate + 8 — Oh, my gosh.  The solitary interviews.  Jon is sporting new diamond studs in both ears, Kate lays about showing off the ‘tat’ on her leg.  Is anyone surprised about the divorce?  Once upon a time this show was about the kids.  Now it is about Kate and the $$$ . . . oh, and Jon and the $$$.  No wonder they don’t get along, shoot they are too busy spending the $$$ their kids have earned — on themselves.

Protests in Iran — The election fraud is just a symptom.  Show me one theocracy in all of history that worked.  Let the people decide Supreme Leader Khamenei.  Even the Q’uran says there should be no compulsion in religion (Surah 2 verse 256).

Roger Federer — The comeback kid is hot so far at Wimbledon.  Can he win his record breaking 15th Major title?  Probably, since Nadal is injured — will there be an asterisk?

Transformers 2 — What’s not to like?  Machines that can change from destroyers to likeable transportation — aw come on, why won’t my 8 year old Jeep blow up the traffic jam on the way to work?  Summer Fun 2, just turn off your brain on the way in . . .  this movie is no UP (four stars baby).

Your report should be no more than two pages, double-spaced and spell-checked.  Anything less and you just aren’t paying attention.
